Weekend in Mossel Bay

Had an awesome long weekend in Mossel Bay On Thursday it was just me, Nikki, Zané and Niki staying at the River Shack. We had drinks played games, went to the beach, got creeped out by spiders and had fun.

 

 

On Friday morning after a 3 hour sleep me, Nikki and Zané went on a 3 hour horse riding excursion thingy. It was awesome to gallop in the sand dunes Unfortunately we had no place to put our phones so we couldn’t take any photos. Actually most of the weekend I didn’t have any batteries on my phone do I didn’t take a lot of photos at all. But lucky the other peeps did so I will steal photos from them later to post on my blog! After the horse riding we started prepping for the rest of the guys to arrive so we prepared the food for the braai and had a few drinks. When they all arrived we partied by the fire and had fun. The next day we drove to had lunch at some place packed with bikers and then partied again but had an early night.

Sunday we drove back to PE and crashed in front on the tv at home. The weekend was really heavy on my body and I have been feeling sick since yesterday But no time to chill haha tomorrow we are driving down to Cape Town for another long weekend packed with fun

Wednesday dog loving ♥

Today I’m chilling with Smigies, Mignon’s little dog. He’s an american spaniel if I remember correctly. Matt dropped him off yesterday and we have been for walks and been playing fetch and snuggling. It’s been so nice Love dogs! Just wish I had one… a Doberman… I’ve mentioned it before… like a million times to my boyfriend… once to you guys. But like I said then the timing isn’t right, it sux!!! But at least I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of this little cutie for 2 days

Dinner at the Greek place.

So I went to the doctor here in Port Elizabeth today and they took some tests so I will know by next what’s going on. Hate it when they have to take blood haha I always end up being so pale that they ask me if I need to lie down for a bit! Anyway, I’m going for dinner and drinks now at the Greek place (can’t remember the name haha) with Ryan, Robin, Nikki, Martin and Mignon. Will be lovely – just hope I don’t get food poisoning this time! I’m just looking forward to a nice and chilled night tonight. I’m wearing my new jacket paired with an old dress. All black and gold today.

Weekend baby!

Hey lovelies Wishing everyone an amazing weekend. I have plans for sunday that I won’t be able to tell you about just yet but I’m very very excited about it! Will hopefully tell you about it next week  ;) I think this weekend is going to be a chilled one. I am jealous of Robin and Zané who are going to see Red Hot Chili Peppers in Cape Town..! If I’m lucky then my lovely boyfriend will take me long boarding tomorrow, and maybe a quick shopping trip to Greenacres. Right now I would give my Kingdom for a horse nachos and a glass of red wine!

I ♥ Breakfast

Excuse the hamster face haha Had breakfast with Ryan and Robin at Finnezz this morning. Lovely salmon and scrambled eggs. The place was quite empty but we are gonna have to go there some night for drinks cause it looks really nice since they moved. Now I’m watching a How I Met Your Mother marathon before its time to do some actual running haha. Going jogging with Nikki this afternoon – need to get back into exercising mode again. Been way too lazy for way too long.

Wardrobe Makeover

Today was a busy one for me! I decided to make the study room my own closet. They guys haven’t seen it yet haha but they will in about 30 min when they get home from work. It took me seriously all day and I rearranged a lot of stuff and threw away old shoe boxes and other crap that was just taking up space. The tiny space I had in my wardrobe in the bedroom did not work for the amount of clothes I have and it always ended up in a HUGE mess…as you can see in the first photo – my ‘after the weekend’ mess. But now I am so happy and I can actually see every piece of clothing I have in there which is a very nice and welcomed change. The only thing is that I realized that some of my stuff is missing… very uncool. I had a fav top that is no gone and my Louis Vuitton shopping bag has disappeared, a whole bunch of stuff really. Time to go shopping soon? One day when I’m rich and famous (hahaha) I will build a house with a proper Sex and the City walk in closet

December 2012 – random photos

So this post is a bit late… It’s now almost the end of January, but I still want to share some of my december 2012 adventures with you guys

Like I told you in one of my previous posts (I think…) I spent december in Cape Town. My dad and his wife came down to visit for two weeks and we had a lovely but intense time haha. Trying to do as much as possible in two weeks and washing it down with drinks

 

 

Wine tasting tour haha was supposed to visit 5 different wine farms but only did 2… Fairview and Spice Route. Loved it!

Will post more photos once my dad and his wife stop being too busy in Thailand to send them to me

Happy New Year!

Haha I know it’s a bit late to say Happy New Year, it’s not THAT new anymore but since it’s my first post of the year it seemed perfect to mention. So a lot has happened since my post but I’m not gonna tell you about everything. December was amazing though and there will be a post about it later.
Now I’m back in Port Elizabeth planning 2013. Lots to think about and do.
Was supposed to be detoxing and stuff but seriously that’s just not fun haha so instead I’m just just gonna be making bit healthier choices. I don’t feel like giving up everything I like to be healthy. Healthy surely must mean being a bit unhealthy and happy? I love my reasoning. However, it is time to start working out again. Nikki and I are now going to start training for a half marathon. I’m very excited about it! : ) We are starting next week. Feels like 2013 is going to be amazing – so far it has been excellent. Wishing all you guys the best year ever : )

Oh, yes please! How insanely beautiful.

End of the world – not so much.

Obviously the world did not end today haha. Sorry peeps in bunkers all over the world that wasted your day. After going to Table Mountain I had a nice and chilled picnic lunch in the park with Ryan, my dad and Lena today. Baguettes, cheeses, potato salad, greek salad, crostinis and cashews = YUM. The weather was amazing, 36 degrees! We were supposed to go on a sunset cruise this evening but the weather changed into this:

So Ryan and I have been chilling at home instead. Tomorrow Zané and Robin are back in town and its party time again ; ) I’m excited! And just a few days til Christmas!!!

4 year anniversary

Had a lovely day with my love Went to see The Hobbit at the movies with popcorn and everything. The movie was crazy good! I loved it and can’t wait for the next one to come out next year. And the next one after that in 2014. Got Ryan a small little surprise when he got back from work today:

Spur time again

Had a nice and chilled day. Waited for the maid but she never showed up haha. Went with Robin to Greenacres and got some stuff for him. I got a new cap the black and white one in the photo – loving it, and a tank top or whatever for guys but decided to give it to Ryan instead I suspect it will look better on him – but it looks super cool! Then we went for dinner at the normal place… Spur. I had a Greek salad and couldn’t even finish half of it cause it was so huge haha but I love my olives and feta ; )
Now we are just chilling at home, the guys are working tomorrow and I’m going shopping : ) excited!

70′s themed birthday party!

On saturday the 1st of december we had a 70′s themed birthday party for Martin and me. Martin’s birthday was the 29th of november and mine the 3rd of december so we combined them. The party was super cool and I’m happy everyone made an effort to dress up I really wanted to dress up like a hippie and think I managed pretty well with it. Nikki and I transformed their living room into a disco room for the night with a disco light, disco ball, blinking lights, gold gold and more gold, lots of snacks, a beer cake, a birthday cake, champagne and a horribly strong White Russian mix in a punch bowl. All in all super amaze balls haha To finish the night off we all went out to Castro’s and partied in 70′s outfits. Somehow I ended up with with 4 wigs and a hat in my tiny little hippie bag while we were all dancing.

It’s been a while…

So I haven’t posted anything since I got to Cape Town. Now we are back in Port Elizabeth again – have been for over a month. Cut back on the drinks (except for a few heavy weekends here) and the super unhealthy eating. But not quite back to normal yet. Mostly cause I can’t exercise – fell into a ravine and hurt my knee pretty bad so can’t run or jump around Well ok it wasn’t so much a ravine…more like I was struggling in the dark and fell 2 meters onto a nasty half concrete like surface. Anyway…! This weekend we are having a combined birthday party for me and Martin, his birthday is tomorrow and mine is on Monday. It’s all 70′s themed and disco decorated I’m so excited its not even funny!!!!

Lovely day today Had lunch, nachos what else haha, and yummy drinks at the Fat Cactus with Zané and Olivia and am now getting ready for Bitch Bingo today to celebrate Zané’s birthday Got a super nice package from my dad and his wife back in Sweden full of clothes and licorice! Love it!! :)

Cape Town – the first week

Hello again my lovelies! I have been very absent and non-blogging since we left Port Elizabeth. But for a very good reason – Beer. Haha It has been lots of fun this week, the last week before the Ryan and Robins surf trip to Indonesia. And after a heavy night last night I said good bye and off they went this morning. 32 days. Crazy!

We have been drinking beer every day this week because it was a holiday and all, also because every second word Robin said was ‘Beer’ haha. So now it’s time to calm down a bit, get back into healthier habits and explore this city! Not saying I won’t party, I just won’t party all the time, party all the time, party all the tiiiiiiiiime – like Eddie Murphy’s girl wants to. Haha lame I know but anyway….

1. I love Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and miss it soooo much ’cause they don’t sell it here in South Africa.

2. I am terrified of seagulls.

3. At one point in my life I watched Rocky so many times that I knew all lines and started watching it on rewind to spice things up, instead of actually watching another movie. When I say rewind I am actually talking about old school VHS where you could rewind the tape at normal speed.

4. Once I kicked my dad in the head doing a Karate Kid move. He told me he was proud.

5. For some reason I  keep having nightmares where I am about to get killed but I first have save puppies. Not sure what that means…

6. Whenever I go shopping I tell myself that I need to buy something that isn’t black but 90% of the time end up finding something black anyway. I really need more color in my wardrobe, but black always looks good.

7. I used to have a very yummy but unhealthy relationship with KitKat where I could eat like 5 chunky ones a day.

8. I really wish I could master the smokey eye, but whenever I try it just looks weird and like I’m wearing too much make up. I think my eyes are too droopy for it to work.

9. I am a clumsy person who walks into things and fall and hurt myself all the time. There is always a bruise somewhere on my body.

10. My most played games on my iPhone are ‘Oven Break’ and ‘Robot Unicorn Attack’. I am a nerd.

11. I tan very easily but I also lose my tan very quickly if I don’t keep on tanning, it sucks ’cause in winter if I don’t spend time in a solarium my skin looks almost transparent. I don’t really do fake tans because they always end up looking patchy and uneven after a couple of days.

1.  What’s your favourite book?

Not sure what the book is called in english but a direct translation would be ‘A German mans Story’. Just because of his (or the translator’s..) way of writing and playing with the words. The story is really sad.

2. Is there any beauty product (like coloured eyeshadow, red lipstick) that you’re afraid of?

I stay away from lipstick in general ’cause my lips are always so dry that it ends up looking flaky and weird on me. I love a nice lipgloss or just plain vaseline instead.

3. What is your favourite movie of all-time?

Never Ending Story, Rocky, Dirty Dancing. That’s 3, the list could go on and on but I have to have them as my 1 favorite

4. What’s your biggest pet peeve?

People who clear their throats in a disgusting way, making me wanna vomit having to listen to it. People texting ‘u’ instead of ‘you’ – it’s already a short word! Oh and people playing with styrofoam – just looking at it makes me all goose-bumpy. I’ll take a black board over styrofoam any day.

5. Favourite YouTuber or blogger? (beauty or other)

So many lovely blogs and bloggers out there that it’s to hard to actually pick a favorite.

6. Big city lady or a small town gal?

I’ve moved around so much that I don’t even know but I do feel way more like myself in a bigger city.

7. A place you would love to travel to and why?

Mexico! For all the mexican food, the coronas, margueritas, the sun and beaches. And to be able to say ‘Si Señor’ and not sound weird. And the sombrero wearing mustache guys. Yes that is what I’m expecting haha.

8. Did you start your blog for fun or as a way to make a career in the beauty industry?

I started my blog for fun and I’m so happy that people like it and are following. It’s just a way of sharing what’s going on in my life and in my head, things I do and things I like.

9. What is your dream job?

I’m not sure I have a dream job… Actually I am sure, I don’t have a dream job but I’m sure that when I find it I will know what it is. Haha.

10. Is there a fashion or beauty trend you can’t stand?

Those horrible platform shoes – like the ones Robyn is always seen wearing. I have no idea how they made a comeback but I know that I will never wear a pair. You know the ones, right? The Spice Girls looking Buffalo type ones.

11. If you could only pick one to wear for the rest of your life… mascara or foundation?

What a horrible choice to have to make! I would go with mascara. Normally only wear tinted moisturizer anyway so screw the foundation haha

Dinner and a movie – the Dark Knight Rises

Last night the guys (Ryan and Robin) and I went for dinner at Spur. Cheesy quesadilla – YUM! Had some time to kill so we had a couple of beers and chilled – seriously chilled, it was freezing. 7 degrees outside and in the mall it felt like 8 and in the restaurant like 9.

After stuffing ourselves at SPUR we went on to buy popcorn and sweets (and tickets) for the movie – Batman the Dark Knight Rises. I think we all agreed on giving it a 7 out of 10. Expected waaaay more from it. And whatever happened to his Batmobile?

Anyway, time to get ready to hit the mall again – shopping time. Wish me luck haha hopefully I will find something this time with all the new stock in all the shops

Makeup, Hair – Action!

This one day in Durban I was bored… so I started by fluffing up my hair like a crazy person, added some extreme makeup with gold colored eyebrows and all and started taking photos of myself… and here is the result.

I love trying weird things with my makeup just for fun but I rarely take photos of it haha.

Monday – a Shorts Story

What a beautiful day today Makes my soul happy when the sun is shining. Still not warm enough to put on summer outfits but for the first time since we moved from Durban (more or less) I have been able to wear shorts today. Seriously can’t wait for summer! It is a bit strange how I’m always cold. Enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony with Ryan after our food shopping trip – got back with a million things. But the one of course is one my most fav things in the world – a box of Ferrero Rocher YUM!

 

 

Saturday night

Photo taken in the car on our way to Martin and Nikki’s house. Had a really cool night last night drinking margueritas, chatting and hanging out with everyone Ryan was DJ-ing as usual but it was easier now I guess with the iPad instead of the iPhone haha.
You never know what’s gonna happen – we started out thinking we would just be chilling at their house and have a few drinks and watch the rugby, but by the time the rugby was finished it was decided that we would all go out for more drinks. However by the time Nikki and I were finished getting ready to go out it had been decided that we weren’t going. Haha I think we made the right decision

Today has been a lazy one. Been under the duvet on the couch the whole day watching the Olympics.
Looking forward to sleeping for at least like 10 hours now! Beauty sleep is very much needed haha.

Breakfast at Primi’s

 

Monday morning breakfast at Primi’s with Ryan and Robin Discussing all things to do with their surf trip to Indonesia in september. Many things to think of – like malaria vaccination and other medications, where to check in and out the bags, when to buy new board shorts and board bags etc. The guys are EXCITED!! :)
